In this unit we learned how to make orthographic drawings. Orthographic projection seemed easy to me in 6.1 and 6.2 but it got harder in 6.3. It was hard for me to find what needs to be in each view. The one particular drawing I struggled with was 6-59. The drawing had a CBORE which was why I had trouble finding out what goes in each view. Other than that one drawing, I think I did well. The components of orthographic projection are 3 views- front, side, and top. These components required for orthographic drawings. Orthographic has a real world application because it is the way we see 3D objects in 2D. This is important for both architecture and engineering. The vocabulary we needed to know for this unit is front view, top view, side view, hidden lines, construction lines, center lines, and center mark. I learned about all of the vocabulary words and CBORE.
