AC-ADDI-7 Demonstrate preparing schedules. 7.1 Explain the purpose of schedules on a set of architectural drawings. 7.2 Generate the following schedules: window, door, and finish. 7.3 Demonstrate the use of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software related to preparing schedules.
Window, door, and finish schedules are to provide details about the object (door, window, finish). Window schedules provide details about the size of the window, material, and what kind of window. Door schedules provide details about the size of the door, material, and what kind of door. Finish schedules provide details about the material and kind of material. In Auto-CAD, they include dimensions, notes, and different views of the object (door, window, finish). They provide builders with what type of door, window, or finish needs to be used in certain places. The materials noted in Auto-CAD are there instead of on a floor plan to make the floor plan less crammed and it is less relevant. To meet this standard I will create one in Auto-CAD for the house I am working on right now. My future goal related to this is to learn how to create a schedule and do it efficiently.
