I met this standard from our projects this year by preparing floor plans in both Revit and AutoCAD. This experience helped me learn these skills. To sketch a floor plan to scale, you use an architect's scale to measure and draw lines. I learned how to dimension right, from using AutoCAD last year and this year. Dimensions are used to give only the necessary information or the things you need to recreate the drawing. I learned how to use CAD software from AutoCAD and Instructional Videos. This has a real world standard because preparing floor plans is very important to the career I am pursuing. This standard is an example of work that is done by architects and it is great that I get to learn these skills in high school. My future goals related to this standard is that I want to design houses in the future and preparing floor plans must be known.
